Our dedicated team of anesthesiologists, and registered nurses deliver pre-operative, anesthetic, and post-operative care for office-based surgeries. Position Overview: We're expanding and have an immediate opening for a Peri-Anesthesia RN to join our North Division team, primarily in the Gurnee area and nearby locations. This is a 4-day-a-week role with no evenings, Sundays, holidays, or mandatory overtime! Some Saturdays may be available with added incentives, and we're happy to discuss flexible scheduling options that work for you.
Work Schedule:
- Days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Hours: No evening or weekend shifts required (Saturday shifts are optional, incentivized, and negotiable)
- Work Setting: Outpatient anesthesia in an office or ASC setting
Location:
Our clients are located throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. During onboarding, you'll work closely with our Scheduling Coordinator, gaining exposure to a variety of clients and specialties. Once onboarded, you'll typically work within 45 minutes of your home location. Mileage reimbursement is available for travel over 25 miles.
Your Role:
As a Peri-Anesthesia RN, you'll deliver exceptional care throughout the surgical process – pre, intra, and post-op. Collaborating closely with anesthesiologists and following practice protocols, you'll provide high-quality, compassionate care to our patients. Continuing education and professional development are highly valued here, and we support our team's growth with regular training and quality assurance programs.
Position Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active and unrestricted RN license in Illinois or compact license with Illinois eligibility
- Minimum of 3 years in critical care, emergency, or PACU nursing, or at least 2 years in ER or ICU settings combined with telemetry/PACU experience
- Proficiency in patient care for both pediatric and adult populations
- Certifications in BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
- Competence in conducting physical exams and initiating IV catheter placement
