The successful candidate will be tasked with handling all aspects of personal injury cases, including client intake, claim filing, negotiation, and settlement. This role requires a proactive professional who is adept at legal research, legal writing, and plaintiff representation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from start to finish, including pre-litigation, negotiation, settlement, and litigation, if necessary.
- Conduct comprehensive case evaluations to determine the validity of a claim and devise a strategic approach for resolution.
- Coordinate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Advocate for the rights of our clients, ensuring they receive fair compensation for their injuries.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress and addressing their questions or concerns.
- Ensure all case files and related information are accurately recorded and updated in the case management system.
- Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to ensure a seamless and efficient case management process.
- Stay updated on changes in personal injury laws and regulations, applying this knowledge to current and future cases.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Personal Injury Case Manager or similar role in the legal industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field. A paralegal certificate is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of personal injury law and procedures, including pre-litigation and litigation processes.
- Proven experience in legal research and writing, with a strong ability to draft and review legal documents.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, with a track record of securing favorable settlements for clients.
- Proficiency in case management software and other legal technology tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Licensed to practice law in the state, if applicable.
