Pest Control Technician - ABM Industries

We are searching for a motivated, friendly team member that will perform SPRAY TECH groundskeeper and maintenance duties in designated areas in a school, college, or university environment.

Basic Qualifications:

•  Must be 18 years of age or older

•  Must have a valid Driver's License

•  No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

•  1 year of Pest Contriol Tech experience preferred 

 

Responsibilities:

 Inspect buildings and the surrounding environment for signs of pest infestation
• Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests
• Use different pest control methods such as the setting of traps or baits to remove or kill pests
• Apply pesticide safely in buildings or structures and the surrounding environment
Requirements and skills
• Proven work experience as a Pest Control Technician or similar role
• Ability to stand for an extended period and work in uncomfortable environments
• Must be detailed oriented and be able to follow detailed instructions in applying pesticide to avoid harm to the client and self
• Must possess good customer service skills and be customer-focused
• Strong ability to keep good records of hours worked and chemicals used
• The ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends
• Licensed to perform pest control preferred, or good work experience.
• Bilingual preferred
• Valid driver’s license.
• Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 11.00am to 07.00pm, OFF Sunday and Monday
