Summary of Need:
As a member of our pharmacy team, you will have an important role assessing and caring for our patients. Your primary focus will be ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of medications, including reviewing physician orders and medication profiles. You will work closely with nurses, physician assistants, and other providers to provide optimal medication therapy as part of an interdisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will be able to work efficiently as part of a team and adhere to the highest possible professional and clinical standards. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and attention to detail are essential for success in this staff pharmacist role.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Dispensing medications through Pyxis ES medstations, Omnicell cabinets, and our Phacts carousel.
- Advising healthcare professionals and patients regarding rational drug therapy and contacting prescribers to verify orders that require pharmacist intervention.
- Quality control for medication storage on nursing units, compounding sterile products, and overseeing pharmacy technicians, pharmacy students, and pharmacy interns to confirm the accuracy of their work.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy
- Valid license and registration in New York State, in good professional standing
- Doctorate in pharmacy (with hospital experience) or Pharm.D. required
