ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Takes all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures regarding the sale of pharmaceuticals
- Assists with and responds in a courteous and professional manner in accordance with customer service guidelines to questions from customers and physicians
- Offers advice and professional consultation in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
- Acts as a role model to the pharmacy team; efficiently handles customer complaints; directs pharmacy operations to keep wait times to a minimum.
- Trains pharmacy technicians, clerks, graduate interns, and student interns; provides feedback on their performance; and amplifies their professional understanding of their role in the pharmacy.
- Is trained, proficient and actively participates in all clinical programs.
- Communicates and cooperates with peers, subordinates, managers, physicians, and customers in all pharmacy related areas.
- Maintains CII ordering records, along with CII Monthly audits.
- Maintains inventory levels to company goals; rotates stock; and utilizes RX return process.
- Assists in maintaining all state and federal record keeping for controlled substances.
- Ensures timely implementation of company policies, procedures and programs; enforces professional and operational standards, including compliance with legal regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager/Head Pharmacist, Store Director, Pharmacy Director, and Corporate Management.
- Is responsible to maintain standards in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager/Head Pharmacist

- Exposure to compounding chemicals.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals.
- Exposure to blood borne pathogens
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a college degree in Pharmacy (BS or PharmD).
- Must pass the NAPLEX.
- Must pass the State Law Board.
- Must hold a valid state license.
- Must complete continuing education hours as required by law.
- Ability to readily adapt to changes in schedule specifications and work priorities as the business and customer needs demand.
- Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.
- Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs
