Summary:
- Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Director and/or the pharmacist on duty, the Pharmacy Technician will provide adequate supportive assistance to enable the Pharmacist to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to patients, customers and residents, in the most economical and professional manner.
- Assists in the preparation and dispensing of medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Helps maintain proper storage, packaging, and quantities of inventory throughout the hospital.
- Participates in the maintenance of proper computer medication profiles, daily reports, and billing of medications.
- Prepares sterile products under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Performs unit medication inspections.
- Maintains pharmacy technician certifications.
- MA State Pharmacy Tech License.
