Job Description:
Our client, a leader in primary and post-acute care in senior living communities, is looking for a Physiatrist to deliver exceptional care to seniors. This role is suited for a physician who values a flexible work schedule and wants to make a significant difference in the lives of elderly patients.
The Physiatrist will modify medical techniques to provide comprehensive care, diagnosing and treating a range of diseases and injuries. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality patient care and exploring ways to improve service delivery.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose pain from various conditions and treat patients with physical or cognitive impairments.
- Develop and implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Offer adaptive tools and counsel for lifestyle adjustments to patients and families.
- Support long-term care patients with expert advice and empathy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of medical practices in geriatric and post-acute care settings.
- Proficiency in medical quality standards and emergency situation management.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
Education and Experience:
- An M.D. or D.O. degree is required, with a preference for experience in geriatric and post-acute care settings.
- EHR documentation proficiency and billing experience are desirable.
License/Certification:
- Must have an active, unrestricted medical license for the state of employment.
- Certification from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR).
- A current or pending DEA certificate is necessary.
