Job Details:
Title: Physical Therapist Assistant
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio (on-site)
Hours: 1st shift
Length of Engagement: Contract- 13 weeks
Rate: Competitive and Dependent on Experience
Physical Therapy Assistants report directly to the Physical Therapist for their daily assignments or tasks. They’re responsible for regularly reporting to the Physical Therapist with reports on the patients’ progress. Patients will also meet with the Physical Therapy Assistant if they have questions about a patient, diagnosis, or treatment plans.
Job Responsibilities will Include:
- Implement selected components of care and interventions in a technically competent manner.
- Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises.
- Identify patient’s needs and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences.
- Recommend options, courses of action or modifications in selected treatments ensuring patient’s progress, safety, and comfort.
- Apply the latest research related to restoring function, reducing symptoms frequency, and preventing injury.
- Complete documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services.
- Perform selected data collection and obtain accurate information.
- Measure performance and report on patient’s medical record.
- Participate in patient status judgments.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards.
- Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge.
Job Requirements:
- Must have an associate degree from an accredited Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Must meet all certification and licensure requirements as established by the state and national board associations.
- Active state license required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess current working knowledge of company’s policies and procedures, clinical programs with application skills to therapy disciplines.
- Knowledge of code of ethics and role delineation, including guidelines for supervision.
- Ability to supervise Physical Therapy Aides.
- Active CPR certification.
- Annual physical and TB skin test required.
