Physical Therapy Aide - Maine Health

The Physical Therapy Aide performs designated routine tasks related to the operation of physical rehabilitation services. Performs clerical tasks and may assist with patient-related activities under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapist and speech therapist.

The Physical Therapy Aide is also responsible for completing daily and monthly stats, processing Medicare forms, obtaining insurance referrals and physician orders, maintaining inventory, typing various reports, letters, forms and instruction sheets as needed, processing discharged charts, and photocopying of medical records as requested including monthly Claims Assist requests.

Education:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Education and experience in the health field preferred.

License/Certifications:N/A

Experience: See "Education." One to three months' related experience and/or training to follow the Maine Physical Therapy Practice Act preferred.
