We are currently seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant in Fort Worth, TX.
Pay & Benefits:
- Estimated Salary: $42.13/Hour

- Paid Time Off - One (1) hour accrual per every 30 hours work up to 56 hours per year.
- Vacation - effective after one year of service with Nitelines USA, Inc Two (2) weeks paid vacation after one (1) year of service with a contractor or successor, three (3) weeks after five (5) years, and four (4) weeks after 15 years.
- Work hours may vary depending on the need of the institution. Shifts will normally be Monday through Friday (excluding Federal holidays), with various shifts throughout the time period of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a thirty (30) minute, unpaid lunch period. A session will equal one (1) hour. The facility is expected to require an average of 40 sessions per week, per physical therapy assistant, but may accommodate less than 40 sessions per week on a case by case basis. The schedule may consist of variable hours daily, but the hours will not exceed forty (40) per week.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have graduated from a program which has satisfied the accreditation standards of the Commission on Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education
- Valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license.
- It is preferred, but not required for a candidate to have one year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Hold a Current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
Job Description:
- Screening patients designated by a Physical Therapist as possible candidates for physical therapy services. Screening entails the collection of uniform information for all patients using a predetermined, standardized format.
- Providing physical therapy services only under the supervision of a Physical Therapist as specified in the physical therapy plan of care: preparing patients, treatment areas, and equipment; implementing treatment programs that include therapeutic exercises; gait training, and techniques; ADL training techniques; administration of therapeutic heat and cold; administration of ultrasound; administration of therapeutic electric current; performance of intermittent venous compression; application of external bandages, dressings and support; performance of goniometric measurement; modifying treatment techniques as indicated in the plan of care.
- Responding to acute change in the physiological state
- Teaching other healthcare providers and patients to perform selected treatment procedures and functional activities
- Interacting with patients in a manner which provides the desired psycho-social support by recognizing reactions to illness and disability, respecting individual cultural, religious, and socioeconomic differences and utilizing appropriate communicative processes
- Providing appropriate written, oral and nonverbal communication regarding patient care processes
- Demonstrating safe, ethical and legal practice
- Assisting with the data entry into computer programs designed to schedule, collect data, analyze and collate data reports. Assisting with administrative duties such as scanning documents as require for work area
