Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients recovering from injury, surgery, or illness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physical therapists in the delivery of treatment programs and patient care.
- Implement therapeutic exercises, modalities, and other interventions as directed.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and home exercises.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant program from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting is a plus but not required.
