About the Job
Working knowledge of Medical Insurance Benefits and of the Medical Billing and Accounts Receivable process required. Candidate must be detail oriented, have a positive attitude, solid organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi task. Candidate must be an effective communicator, including over the phone and a team player who interacts productively with other team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to work independently.
- Contact insurance carriers to collect past due amounts or develop a plan to resolve the account.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date aging report of assigned accounts to include AR analysis and follow-up.
- Interface with Billing Supervisor in communicating and resolving difficult AR issues.
- Printing, copying, and scanning of medical records requested by insurance carriers.
Hours:
- The ideal candidate is available to work Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM.
