+ Specialty: Inpatient Orthopedics
+ Schedule: Night
+ Call Schedule: Flexible call with no set monthly requirement, rotating holidays.
+ Practice Detail: Inpatient Orthopedic Surgery with occasional general surgery cross coverage in the operating room when needed. Orthopedic coverage will include inpatient rounding, consults, ED procedures, operating room assisting.
+ EMR System: Meditech

Responsibilities
Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision
of a physician.
+ Obtain patient history and perform assessment.
+ Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
+ Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.
+ Provide counseling and education of patient and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
+ Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required Credential(s):
+ BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office
+ Physician Assistant credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office
Preferred Credential(s):
+ Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).Verified by local Credentialing Office
+ Orthopedic Physician Assistant. Verified by local Credentialing Office
Education:
+ Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.
+ Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
+ 1 year of experience preferred.
