Prima CARE, in Fall River, Massachusetts, is recruiting a Board-certified or Board-eligible, fellowship-trained non-invasive (non-interventional) cardiologist to join its established Cardiology Division, seeing both outpatients and inpatient consults. The busy outpatient practice serves a large patient base and offers extensive outpatient testing, including 3-D echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, cardiac CT, and Holter monitoring. The cardiologists also see hospital consults on a weekly rotating basis and are qualified to interpret EKG, Holter, echocardiograms, and cardiac stress tests. There are 3 cardiac nurse practitioners in the hospital. They round at Saint Annes Hospital which offers EKG, echocardiography, Holter monitoring, nuclear stress testing, ICU, and cardiac telemetry, along with cardiac catheterization and coronary interventions. Charlton Memorial Hospital, 5 minutes away, offers electrophysiology, open heart surgery, and structural interventions, but they do not routinely round there. Inpatient duties include consults from their Hospitalists, and may require placement of temporary pacing wires, management of CHF, dysrhythmias, acute myocardial infarctions, and acutely-ill cardiac patients. Prima CARE is a 160-provider, physician-owned multispecialty group in Fall River, Massachusetts, an affiliate of the Steward Health Care Network. In addition to 40 Primary Care physicians, they represent various medical and surgical specialists, with laboratory and imaging capabilities. Fall River is an excellent medical community and Prima CAREs broad Primary Care base provides an excellent source of specialty referrals. The salary is competitive and commensurate with training and experience. Physicians are eligible for corporate bonuses and partnership.
