About the Job
Our client, is an integrated residential treatment program developed to provide behavioral health and residential services to Community Behavioral Health consumers with serious mental illness, requiring extended comprehensive behavioral health support services in a non-hospital, communitybased residential setting is looking for an Physicians Assistant in Crisis Unit
Type: Temp-to-Perm/ 18 weeks or PERM
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Role and Responsibilities
The Role of the Physician's Assistant is to provide assistance/coverage as assigned by the Mental Health Director and Associate Director.
The primary function of the Physician's Assistant is to complete physicals and assist Associate Director in working with residents to ensure treatment goals are accomplished.
Brief outline of position:
Perform Physicals for the Crisis Residence and all other Residential Programs.
Conduct groups/activities as assigned.
Provide crisis intervention when necessary to stabilize patient.
Responsible for completing Discharges for Crisis Residence and maintain appropriate discharge records.
Must Complete all Required Trainings.
All other duties as assigned by the Mental Health Director and Associate Director
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have valid Physician's Assistant License with experience working in a crisis intervention program.
Must physically be able to: A) climb stairs; C) Assist with non-invasive behavioral health/behavioral management practices in emergency situations.
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE)
Must have an acceptable PA criminal history, FBI clearance and Child Abuse clearance done prior to hire.
