The Placement Specialist is responsible for successfully supporting recruitment efforts and pursuing communications strategies and protocols needed to successfully transition prospective members (leads) to registered members. Responsible for facilitating increased girl and adult volunteer participation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned.
- Utilize Girl Scouts customer relationship management system to support pursuance of leads throughout the recruitment process for completion to close status.
- Support implementation of membership recruiting marketing strategies outlined in the council’s strategic plan, annual business plan and/or other council goals primarily through phone and written follow-up contacts with prospective members and community partners.
- Follow action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to track contacts made in order to meet membership goal. Prepares a variety of status reports, including activity, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
- Support external recruitment efforts and is able to finalize membership enrollment leads.
- Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity in a timely fashion.
- Work with cross-functional team to ensure the effective delivery of recruitment strategies.
- Responsible for facilitating achievement of community engagement and development goals in order to recruit girl and adult members as well cultivate support for Girl Scouting to achieve the Council’s strategic goals and objectives, as well as the specific cross-functional goals
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); prefer at least six months related experience and/or training.
- Ability to work from home, as needed, to include high speed home internet access, accessibility to a non-distracting and uninterrupted space with adequate lighting and ergonomically adequate work-space.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community; Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word), SharePoint, Customer Relationship Management software, team/knowledge sharing tools, etc.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and proof of insurance.
