We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking Industrial Maintenance Electricians at our Elm Road Generating Station and Oak Creek Site Bulk Material Handling location. Job Summary
The Electricians support operations of company plants by normal and special maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all plant electrical systems including installation of new equipment, modification, and upgrading of existing equipment and isolating and restoring plant and substation equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Ordering/collecting of material and determine scope of job.
- Provide information needed for bidding and planning jobs.
- Cut, thread, bend, install electrical conduit and associated hardware, raceways, breakers, switches, motors, contactors, lighting fixtures, modules, electronic boards, pull wire, install fiber optic cable, computer hardware and software, communication systems, etc.
- Using various test devices and monitoring equipment, collect and record pertinent data for the purpose of monitoring equipment conditions.
- Isolate and pinpoint system fault(s) or malfunction by analyzing information supplied by other personnel, observing symptoms, printing findings and readings, and comparing to knowledge of normal operation.
- Using the protective tag procedure, operate circuit breakers (ACB’s, OCB’s, GCB’s), disconnects, safety switches, fuses, etc.
- Troubleshoot, repair, start-up, modify, and program PLC’s (program logic controllers) and DCS’s (digital control systems).
You will work a rotating 12hr shift that includes weekends and holidays.
Current pay range Journey level: $49.32 - $60.68/hr. subject to change based on union contract (starting rate will be based on experience level).
Current pay range apprentice level: $24.24 - $44.76/hr. subject to change based on union contract (starting rate will be based on experience level).
Minimum Experience Required
- 1-year certificate in electrical/electronics
- 2- year associate degree in electrical/electronics

Minimum Posting Range: $24.24
Maximum Posting Range: $60.68
The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.
