Plant Facilities Manager - Judge Group

Position Summary

The Plant Facility Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a food processing plant facility. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance:
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and optimize asset life.
• Oversee repairs, upgrades, and renovations of the plant facility, including buildings, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Manage budgets for facility maintenance and capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Safety and Environmental Compliance:
• Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs to protect employees, visitors, and the community.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address hazards.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, including waste management, emissions control, and pollution prevention.
• Manage emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Facility Optimization:
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize facility layout and workflow.
• Identify opportunities to improve facility efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage space allocation and utilization to support production needs.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and manage a team of facility maintenance personnel, including mechanics, electricians, and technicians.
• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the team.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Financial Management:
• Develop and manage the facility maintenance budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Monitor and track facility maintenance expenses against the budget, identifying areas for cost savings.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports related to facility operations and maintenance.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, facility management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant facility management, preferably in the food industry.
• Strong knowledge of facility maintenance practices, equipment, and systems.
• Experience with safety and environmental compliance regulations.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in computer software, including maintenance management systems and facility management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in facility management or a related field.
• Experience with food processing equipment and operations.
