Plant Manager – Tier 1 Automotive Supplier

A Tier 1 automotive parts supplier is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the transformation of a newly acquired metal stamping and coating facility.
This role will play a crucial part in overhauling the plant and driving it towards modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities over the next 4-5 years, making it a perfect fit for someone eager to drive change and make a significant impact.

This facility primarily produces stamped metal part assemblies, including headliner supports, hitch mounting supports, and other automotive components.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic transformation of the plant, including facility upgrades and equipment overhauls.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards.
- Manage P&L, budgets, and financial performance in partnership with the plant Controller.
- Collaborate with departments across manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and accounting to drive operational success.
- Direct capital projects and equipment installations to optimize production capabilities.
- Report to the VP and work closely with corporate leadership to meet business objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred, but not required.
- 10+ years of experience in plant management, with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, preferably in metal stamping, injection molding, or related industries.
- Proven experience managing P&L, budgets, and financial performance for a facility.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-departmental operations and driving process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and build strong relationships.
- Experience working in facilities that undergo significant upgrades and improvements is a plus.
The position comes with a competitive salary, a discretionary bonus up to 20%, 3 weeks of PTO, and a generous relocation package, including a fully furnished apartment for the first year.
