Position Summary
The Plant Systems Project Coordinator will manage and oversee significant projects related to plant systems, ensuring successful execution from inception to completion. This includes utilizing tools such as Process Maps and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEAs) to document and plan current and future manufacturing processes. The role requires collaboration with plant and executive management to define project scopes, plans, budgets, and deliverables that align with business goals.

- Project Management: Lead and manage plant systems projects, using detailed planning tools such as Process Maps and FMEAs to document current and future processes.
- Project Planning: Collaborate with plant and executive management to develop comprehensive project scopes, plans, budgets, and deliverables.
- Portfolio Management: Manage changes in the project portfolio, including scope, benefits, costs, and timing, while mitigating financial risks and business impacts.
- Resource Management: Recruit and manage project teams, including internal resources and external vendors, to ensure successful project execution.
- Performance Targets: Meet or exceed portfolio and project performance targets, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Governance: Implement governance structures for each project to ensure clear accountability and responsibility.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage project and portfolio risks, ensuring minimal impact on the business.
- Task Delegation: Delegate tasks and responsibilities to the appropriate personnel within the project team.
- Conflict Resolution: Identify and resolve issues within the project team to ensure smooth collaboration and progress.
- Timeline Management: Plan and monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate project management tools.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and supervise project team members and contractors, fostering accountability and encouraging positive action.
- Post-Project Review: Conduct post-project evaluations and provide reports on successful and unsuccessful project elements to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to manage large-scale plant systems projects, including planning, risk management, and resource allocation.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with executive and plant management teams.
- Excellent leadership, delegation, and team-building skills to manage diverse project teams and contractors.
- Proficiency with project management tools for tracking timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
- Experience in conducting project post-mortems and applying lessons learned to future projects.
