Job Summary:
The Plumber’s role is to maintain the facilities for Eureka Multifamily Group’s Properties. They are responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. They ensure that plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality.
Essential Job Functions:
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters) in commercial and residential structures.
- Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other professionals during construction.
- Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, identifying and diagnosing plumbing problems using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.
- Adhere to all plumbing building codes and regulations.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, including water supply and drainage.
- Knowledge of local building plumbing codes and regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing challenges accordingly.
- Communication and intrapersonal skills, including customer service.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with the intricacies of working with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper.
- Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurement conversion.
Education & Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED certificate
- State plumbing license
- 1-3 years’ experience as a journeyman plumber
- Bilingual is a plus.
