Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in the following:
- Application Administration and Configuration
- To include two (2) years combined experience in:
- SQL Database Design & Programming
- Web Application Development
- Project Management of Enterprise Application Implementation
Key Responsibilities
- Works in a team environment, including participation in cross-functional business process flow improvement teams, and strives to facilitate cooperative and collaborative work environment with other IT divisions and City departments.
- Meets with users and customers to define user needs. Analyzes business functions and work processes to determine technical needs. Identifies system compatibility and capacity issues. Identifies hardware and other equipment needed to support programs.
- Acts as Application Administrator for assigned applications, maintains system security, and creates custom reports as needed for data translation and integration.
- Defines requirements, develops specifications and documents processes for new software applications and modifications to existing software.
- Designs, develops, tests and maintains databases for assigned applications. Designs database structure and defines database environment. Acts as database administrator monitoring database performance; ensuring data integrity; and managing data transfers, migrations, conversions and/or connections.
