Posterity Group, LLC is seeking Positron emission tomography (PET) technologists to provide services for the White River Junction Veteran Administration Medical Center (VAMC) Hartford, VT.
Compensations of the PET Technologist:
- Salary: $88,841 - $114.400/YR
- 10 days paid vacation per year
- 11 paid Federal holidays per year
- $4.41 per hr. Health & Welfare benefit contributes toward health insurance and short- and long-term disability, cash in lieu of.

Duties of the PET Technologist:
· Conducting patient history taking and answering all relevant queries before the procedure.
· Begins each procedure by explaining the process to the patient.
· Emphasizing the minimal quantities of radiation involved and the large safety margin built into the procedure.
· Ensuring that the correct tests are done for each patient and that the results are forwarded to the right doctor.
· Keep a record of the changes witnessed inside the body owing to these radioactive substances.
· Use a machine that creates a three-dimensional image of a part of the body, such as the brain.
· Keep track of safety measures to protect patients while performing scans.
· Make sure that the equipment is in a proper working condition.
· Examine and inspect machines carefully.
· Use of protective clothing during the entire process.
· Follow safety procedures to protect themselves and the patient from unnecessary radiation exposure
Qualifications of the PET Technologist:
- Minimum associate’s degree level in nuclear medicine technology.
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic
- Certified as a nuclear medicine technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).\
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
