About the Job
Responsibilities include:
- Isolate and profile RNA from human and mouse tissue using FANS, TRAP, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, and other molecular methods
- Purify and profile cell type specific mitochondria from preclinical models
- Perform multi-omics analysis of sequencing and proteomics data sets
- Perform anatomical analyses using ISH, IHC, viral tracing, functional mapping
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field and have prior research experience in molecular or cellular biology. Preference will be given to those with familiarity with at least one of the following: next generation sequencing, quantitative analysis of sequencing data, animal models of CNS disorders, neuroanatomy and immunohistological methods, and/or functional circuit-mapping. Candidates must also demonstrate a strong track record of research productivity, scientific rigor, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
