Summary/Objective:
This position will be responsible for painting in the Powder Booth process. The Powder Coating Team Member will work in an assembly-line environment where our product is powder coated, oven-baked, and conveyed to a packaging station.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Required to work in a booth setting utilizing a spray gun to coat the product
- Determine project requirements, including scope and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions
- Work closely with production, management and quality assurance personnel on adherence to establish quality standards per assignment
- Upkeep of coating equipment to ensure daily functionality
- All other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:
- Primarily working indoors, manufacturing environment.
- Will stand several hours at a time.
- Repetitive use of hands to operate powder spray equipment.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of prior experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment/Powder Coating experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Maintain clean and organized work space
- Ability to work and handle multiple job assignments
- Ability to communicate within a team setting

- Must be able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to, work orders, frame prints, and measurements;
- Must be able to meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects;

- Must be able to operate appropriate equipment including coating gums, pumps, compressors, heating units, tape measures, etc.;

- Must possess successful problem-solving skills;
- Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.;
- Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations;
- Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This role does not have supervisory experience upon hiring.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week. 1st shift located in the Brandon, South Dakota plant. Hours are Monday - Thursday 5am - 3:30pm, some Fridays may be mandatory 5am - 11am.
Travel:
No travel required for this role.

- Manufacturing/Industry experience.
