Power BI Administrator
What does a successful Power BI Administrator do at Fiserv?
A successful Power BI Administrator at Fiserv is responsible for managing and maintaining the Power BI environment. They connect and manage Power BI to various data sources, implement and maintain semantic models, and design, develop, deploy, and configure Power BI reports and dashboards. They provide technical guidance and support to end-users, monitor and optimize Power BI performance, and ensure compliance with governance policies and security standards.
What you will do:
+ Connect and manage Power BI to various data sources, including on-premise and cloud-based data sources. Implement and maintain semantic models to ensure data integrity and performance optimization.
+ Perform data cleansing and transformation tasks (ETL) to prepare data for analysis.
+ Design, develop, deploy, and configure Power BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
+ Uses querying languages like SQL, scripting languages like R or Python, and other tools like Tableau or Excel to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions.
+ Provide technical guidance and support to end-users, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of Power BI solutions.
+ Monitor and optimize Power BI performance, including capacity planning and server performance.
+ Manage user access and permissions to Power BI applications and resources, ensuring compliance with security policies.
What you will need to have:
+ 3+ years proven experience in Power BI development and administration.
+ 3+ years proven roficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, DAX and data gateway management. Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
+ Experience with Azure DevOps and Scrum. Experience with Azure Key Vaults and TDE.
+ Strong familiarity with Apache Spark Pools, dedicated SQL pools, Data Flows, Notebooks, Pipelines, Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure Storage, JSON and XML.
Salary Range
$108,900.00 - $186,800.00
