About the Job
- Develops strategies for infrastructure level recommendations surrounding improving processes, efficiency, and practices within clinic operations.
- Assists in the setup of new clinics and services as well as oversees the transition of clinic workflows from affiliating practices as we migrate to a standard operating model.
- Facilitates workshops and change initiatives to simulate and test improvements and communicate changes and/or develop training to the impacted staff roles and functions.
- Functions independently to identify and analyze performance metrics and coordinates with clinic managers to align improvement strategies to the strategic and operational plans of the various ambulatory departments and clinics.
- Coordinates efforts with Revenue Cycle, Patient Access, ITS, and other departments.
QUALIFICATIONS
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Minimum: A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university or eight (8) years of applicable and progressively responsible work experience
Preferred: Master's degree
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Minimum: Epic ambulatory experience.
Preferred: Epic Certification; Formal training in project management and process improvement methodologies; and/or additional certification in LEAN or Six Sigma
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum: Knowledge and experience with a range of process improvement methodologies; ability to facilitate group and end-user process mapping and redesign efforts. Comfort with the interrelationship between healthcare IT and operational workflows in the clinical setting.
Preferred: Experience in an organization using an Epic EMR
YEARS OF RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum: Five (5) years of experience in ambulatory care operations and/or consulting with operations leaders in different ambulatory clinical care environments. Demonstrated success with process improvement, project management and workflow redesign.
