Prefab Wall Technician - Nielson Construction

Nielson Construction is a leader in the construction industry. We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual to join our company as a part of the Prefab Wall Division. This position will work with other co-workers and managers in a team environment while safely operating hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment. On-the-job training will be provided!

Responsibilities:

• Follow detailed instructions and guided directions
• Assemble wall panel components
• Haul finished structures to assigned job sites
• Operate commercial equipment and vehicles as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace in compliance with company and OSHA standards
• Maintain accurate timecards and job paperwork

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in framing or carpentry preferred, but not required
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of use and the ability to maintain and operate power tools, hand tools, mechanical, building, carpentry, and lift equipment
• Read and understand construction plans as well as tape measure readings
• This position requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion. Must be able to exert up to one hundred pounds of force occasionally, and/or up-to fifty pounds of force frequently.
