CapSpecialty is seeking a Premium Audit Specialist who will achieve profitable growth through the analysis, resolution and processing of premium audits and collection of such audits. Resolve disputed audit and bond balance dues with the producer and/or insured/principal, which may require proceeding to external collections and/or suit. Ensure quality of vendor reports on accounts. Assist with Operations – Premium Billing functions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Analyze and accurately process premium audits. Resolve disputed audits and communicate decisions as appropriate. Analyze, resolve and finalize audits returned from outside vendors. Assess vendor result, monitor vendor service, along with individual charges. Work with underwriters to ensure accurate audit premium reporting.
- Collect unpaid audit premium and bond balances by sending invoices and demand letters, and by directly contacting producers, policyholders, bondholders, collection agency vendor, and CapSpecialty staff as necessary.
- Assist Operations – Premium Billing team by accepting credit cards, ACH or wire transfer payments. Deliver accurate and efficient premium handling and processing within a team environment.
- Provide back-up phone coverage to deliver exceptional service.

Education and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree in Business, Insurance or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ years of experience with financial decision-making, auditing, collections, underwriting or cash handling.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May be required to lift up to 20 lbs. at times.
