Position Summary:
The Premium Sales Account Executive is responsible for prospecting new business for AEG core events as well as servicing accounts, selling event suites , ticket packages, premium inventory, group tickets, registrations, and VIP packages to events at the Crypto.com Arena, Peacock Theatre & L.A. LIVE. Events of focus include but are not limited to; Event Suite sales for the Los Angeles Kings, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers as well as concerts / special events . In addition , individual is responsible for selling Award shows (American Music Awards , ESPY's), Family shows (Harlem Globetrotters, Disney on Ice , etc.) and Special L.A. Live Events (Nike Basketball 3ON3 Tournament, All-Star Chef Classic, BET Experience).
Essential Functions:
- Direct phone sales to existing database and new leads for a variety of events and projects (daily / weekly call minimums expected)
- Customer service and relationship building activities, including service calls and client entertainment events.
- Outside sales including in person appointments , networking events , etc.
- Event/Game duties including sales booth opportunities and visiting clients.
- Develop sales plans, research new lead opportunities, and create sales presentations.
- Creatively identify new ways to sell and market tickets creating theme nights for different events.
- Conduct in person presentations for top corporate clients/prospects.
- Assist in development of sales strategies for overall events / projects.
- Take a leadership role in at least one at risk-project and work with management team on sales and motivational tactics of sales team.
- Participate in mentoring an Inside Sales Associate.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly sales department meetings and impromptu staff huddles.
- Attend weekly goal-setting meetings with direct supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree (4 year) in Sales & Marketing, Communications or related.
- 0-2 years of related work experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to use and pick up on complex computer programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to interact effectively and in a professional manner not only with members and guests, but with co-workers within the organization.
- Polished presentations skill, with an ability to think and react to situations confidently.
- A go-getter with drive and initiative to succeed and develop a career in the sports and entertainment industry.
- Ability to consistently adapt and re-prioritize based on sales needs.
- Ability to thrive under a competitive sales environment.
- Able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, and the general public.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to analyze problems involving many variables.
- Must be able to work extended days and hours (including holidays and weekends) hosting events, client entertainment and other activities as required.
- Fluent in other languages preferred (ie. Spanish, Mandarin, Korean, etc.)
Pay Scale: $25.24
