Preschool Instructional Assistant (2024-2025) - District Wide - Bullitt County Public Schools

This postion is for the 2024-2025 school year.

These positions require someone to work with the district preschool department in order to coach, model, and implement best practice strategies for preschool teachers to use with students with challenging behaviors. This person will be trained by and work with our three preschool consultants. This position requires someone that can collaborate with teachers and assistants at all 12 sites. This position requires travel and flexibility. Experience preferred, however, training is provided.

This position is for6.5 hours per dayand146 days per year.

(122 student instructional days, 4 paid holidays and and 20 extended days)

Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.

• Must have 48 semester hours, an Associates Degree or have a high school diploma or equivalent and have passed the paraeducator exam and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.(NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

Step 0: $15.59

Step 10: $19.19

Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided bythe number of remaining paychecks. This position is considered atenmonthemployee on the pay schedule. 4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
