About the Job
Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of commercial machinery, has an immediate need for an experienced Press Brake Operator, to join our winning team in Pembroke.
Our candidate of choice will oversee the plans, layouts, fabrication, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal parts, equipment, and products by performing the following duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of bends, on sheet metal products.
- Selects gauge and type of sheet metal such as stainless steel, type 304, type 315, #4 polished, 2B or aluminum according to product specifications.
- Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates. Sets up and operates, brake presses, forming rolls.
- Trims, files, grinds, deburr, buffs, and smoothes surfaces.
- Any other duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
