We are now hiring for a Press Brake Operator for a manufacturing company in Seguin, TX. This position is starting ASAP! Please submit your resume to this posting and call our office at 830-629-2525.
Pay: $18-$19/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30 am-4:30 pm (MUST be OK with working overtime; occasional weekends as needed)
Summary of Duties:
Use equipment such as press brakes and rollers to form and shape various thicknesses of plate. The operator will use skills to determine the best way to form and shape plate products per drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately use a tape measure and other measuring tools (tri-square, framing square, etc).
- Operate press brake (350 T/100 T) to bend and form various thicknesses and grades of metal.
- Use plate rollers to form cylinders and/or cones.
- Inspect and QC formed the material for accuracy.
- Able to work independently without supervision.
- Forklift experience is a plus, but training is provided.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications/Skills:
- The following experience and knowledge are preferred for this position:
- Ability to look at and understand blueprints.
- Experience with different grades of material, mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Knowledge in plate forming techniques.
- Understanding of quality control.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Exposure to possible shop hazards including but not limited to welding fumes, heat, flash burns, skin burns, high noise level, and eye injuries from welding arcs and grinders.
- All work is performed in a shop environment.
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs. Walking, climbing, bending, stooping, and heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling while handling material not exceeding fifty pounds.
