Job Title: Press Operator I
2nd shift (Monday - Friday from 3:30pm to 2:00am CST)
Key Call outs for the Suppliers: Punch Press Operator. This is not a CNC Operator position. There's no programming for this.
Requirements: 40 lbs - must be able to lift up to this amount and anything above this will be team lift
PPE that the candidate must have: Steel toed shoes
*** will provide PPE: safety, gloves, hearing protection, and vests
What You ll Do
Press Operator should be able to perform assigned operation of presses to ensure part is produced to specifications. Must be willing to learn auxiliary equipment and the use of basic measuring equipment
In This Function, You Will
" Ability to review work instructions
" Check and provide all process components like lubricants and packaging, etc.
" Visually inspect production for burrs, scrapes, rust and other defects.
" Identify and locate proper material thickness and gauge.
" Check production against sample and/or print using basic measuring equipment like gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.
" Achieve Production Schedules
" Comply with 5s
The employee is moderately required to walk.
The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds.
Noise level in plant is moderate. Hearing protection is required in posted areas.
Safety Glasses required in the manufacturing area s

Preferred Skills
