LeMay , a Waste Connections company, is looking for a Preventative Maintenance/Trailer Mechanic to join the team in Centralia, WA!
The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, 4 10’s (2PM – 12:30 AM) with a rotating day off during the week.
Pay will start at $27.50 per hour with an additional $1.50 per hour shift differential with regular wage increases.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Performs repairs and maintenance on fleet of medium duty, heavy diesel trucks, and trailers to maximize safe and productive operations. Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, preventative maintenance, routine maintenance and repairing engines, chassis and body components, hydraulic cylinders, brake systems, suspension systems, wheels and tires.
+ Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
+ Test drive trucks after services and repairs
+ Ability to effectively communicate and understand service schedule and/or repairs
+ Weld and repair 48ft boxes
+ operatea scissor lift to repair items at the 14 ft
+ Available to help mechanic with repairs as needed
+ General shop cleaning responsibilities
+ Equipment safety checks
+ Maintain and track service inventory
+ Communicate with drivers for issues in morning and afternoon
+ Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
+ Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
+ Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
+ Work environment may be indoors in a shop, or outdoors to repair trucks on the road. Usually well-lighted and ventilated. Sometimes necessary to work in awkward or tight positions and to handle greasy or dirty tools. These factors require following basic safety precautions.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
+ Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement preferred or the ability to obtain in the future required.
+ Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
+ Must provide own personal tools. Welding/fabrication experience a huge plus!
