Pricing Analyst – San Francisco, CA
We are currently seeking candidates for a Pricing & Reference Data Analyst to join a top tier investment management firm. The analyst will join the Reference Data & Pricing Data Integrity teams within the Enterprise Data Services group of the Investment Services and Technology (InvesTech) organization. The analyst will handle core workflows in the security reference data and pricing domains while performing quality control functions. Collaboration with internal teams and external data vendors is key to enhancing the firm's pricing and reference data processes. This position offers the opportunity to address complex challenges and contribute to advancing a world-class Reference Data platform.
This is a 12+ month contract to hire opportunity paying between $33-$40/ hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
The Data Integrity teams manage a range of operational tasks to maintain data quality and support colleagues globally. The team leverages multiple data vendors to produce a best-of-breed data representation. Core responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the creation of financial instruments as requested by Investors and Traders.
- Providing timely, accurate, and comprehensive support for routine and complex reference data inquiries.
- Performing daily validation procedures to ensure data consistency across multiple platforms.
- Developing a deep understanding of internal systems and datasets to design solutions and address support issues.
- Building and maintaining relationships with third-party vendors and brokers to resolve issues and ensure data accuracy.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance productivity, improve data quality, implement process improvements, and strengthen controls.
- Collaborating with Technology, data vendors, brokers, and internal stakeholders to resolve business and systems issues.
- Working closely with Portfolio Management, Investment Compliance, Trading, Fund Services, and Legal to achieve the best outcomes for the firm regarding client permissibility and regulatory restrictions.
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant operational, analytical, or financial experience.
- 2+ years of Financial Services experience.
- A proactive approach to learning, problem-solving, and issue resolution.
- Strong interest and knowledge of the investment industry and financial services.
- Attention to detail, thoroughness, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- A collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and intellectual curiosity.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage competing initiatives diplomatically.
- Self-motivated and able to motivate others to achieve success.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, business-critical, team-oriented environment.
- Effective communication and technical skills to bridge business and technical requirements.
- Experience in the financial industry, particularly in Fixed Income, Equity, FX, and Derivatives (preferred).
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and other market data providers (preferred).
- Proficiency in advanced MS Excel functions.
- Experience with data querying and analysis tools such as SQL, VBA, and Tableau (preferred).
- Progress towards or completion of a post-graduate or professional qualification (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
