Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) - MyCare Medical Group

MyCare Medical Group is seeking a highly experienced and patient-centric Internal or Family Medicine Physician to join our team in La Feria, Texas.  You would be joining a rapidly growing company and a premier organization with market leading patient satisfaction scores.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adult Only Patient Panel
• Proficient in diagnosing, treating and managing the Medicare Advantage population with multiple comorbidities.
• Diagnose, treat and counsel patients on their current medical conditions and educate patients on preventative health measures, including performing annual physicals
• Demonstrates both autonomy and proficiency in performance of comprehensive health assessments and communicate Plan of Care with Patients and/or their families.
• Ensure that all charts and medical records are accurately completed in a timely manner; and adhere to all clinical policies and procedures
• Perform such clinical procedures for patient's benefit which are within scope and skill of practitioner, and which are economically feasible
• Provide direction and leadership to the clinic's medical support staff, regarding the administering of a patient's care
• Provide supervision in case assignment to nurse practitioner/physician assistant, including sign off on charts, where applicable
• Effectively communicates with all members of the care team and facilitates a medically appropriate and effective plan of care to avoid unnecessary duplication of testing, and fragmentation of care

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree from accredited MD OR DO accredited program; Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine is preferred.
• Board Certified OR Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Unrestricted Medical License and DEA Licensure in the state of Texas or the ability to obtain a license prior to employment
• Up-to-date CPR Certification and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex and multifaceted situations
• Ability to use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system – specifically eClinical Works (ECW)
• Knowledge of Medical Advantage, HEIDS, MRA and ICD-10 Coding is a plus
• Comfortable managing a primarily Medicare-aged patient population
• Knowledge of Value-Based Care models
