Their focus is on integrating cutting-edge mechatronics into their products to enhance manufacturing processes and vehicle performance
They are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer, with a mechatronics focus to lead their engineering team in creating advanced robotic systems.
As the Principal Mechanical Engineer - Mechatronics, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of mechatronic systems within their robotic platforms
You will lead engineering projects from concept to production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of mechanical, electrical, and software components.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of mechatronic systems, including robotic arms, sensors, and automation equipment
Collaborate with software and electrical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of components and systems
Conduct feasibility studies, design reviews, and simulations to validate mechanical designs and system performance
Develop and oversee testing protocols to ensure product reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards
Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
Manage multiple engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechatronics and robotics
Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and presentations to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications:Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field; PhD is a plus
8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on mechatronics, preferably in the automotive or robotics industry
Proven track record of designing and implementing complex mechatronic systems
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools
Strong understanding of control systems, robotics programming, and automation technologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to engineering challenges
Strong leadership and project management abilities, with a track record of successful team collaboration
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
