In this role you will perform detailed design and documentation of mechanical components or subsystems, by producing two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) CAD work product output for fabrication and assembly. To be considered for this role, you will have an Associate's degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US citizenship is required.Principal PCB Design Drafting Technician Job Duties:* Perform detailed design and documentation of mechanical components or subsystems, by producing two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) CAD work product output for fabrication and assembly.* Determining scale, inserting necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning along with preparing specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations.* Prepare complete production detail drawings and contribute design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations.KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:* Associate's degree in a related discipline and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.* Distinct knowledge of material requirements, fabrication techniques, and manufacturability concepts.* Experienced in the use of current strategic CAD tools; Cadence OrCAD or Cadence Allegro is strongly desired.* Design and layout high-density multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs) using industry-standard CAD tools.* Solid understanding of simple mechanical stress; structural, thermal and tolerance analysis.If you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
