• Experience with DOORS requirements management tool. • Have and maintain INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
• Guidance and mentoring of younger engineers.

As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will:
- Spearhead or assist requirements development and management.
- Develop and direct subsystem and component performance specifications by evaluating and deriving necessary requirements. • Develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance and supporting artifacts.
- Support requirements decomposition analysis to help drive concept architectures and system characteristics.
- Direct and facilitate architecture development of assigned system, subsystems, and components.
- Drive development and maintenance of interface requirements and interface design information for assigned sub-system, system and components. • Document concept design selections and generate System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability assessments. • Coordinate and facilitate formal decisions and trade studies to drive design and document results. • Support the actualization and monitoring of cost, schedule, and risk.
- Coordinate Systems Engineering activities to influence the design.
- Support vehicle level Systems Engineering activities and program milestone reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 6+ year’s relevant experience.
- Systems engineering experience performing requirements evaluation, derivation and allocation, and translating requirements to viable concepts design solutions within applicable constraints.
- Experience developing architecture concepts and evaluating alternatives.
- Knowledge of how to balance system design considering system concept of operations (CONOPS), performance, constraints, and logistics concerns.
- Knowledge of how to plan, conduct and document complex trade studies.
- Knowledge of how to generate System / Subsystem Design Descriptions and capability assessments per the program statement of work.
- Excellent oral and written communication know-how.
