Job Summary
This Process Analyst position is a direct report to the Revenue Controls & SOX Manager in PSE&G’s Customer Care organization. The Revenue Controls & SOX group is responsible for all of the Customer Care revenue related SOX controls, monthly financial revenue reporting, bill print, and regulatory/revenue related projects.
Job Responsibilities
•Provide analytical support of business operations - develop solutions to data requests, maintain operational and financial reports, prepare queries for data gathering, conduct analyses of work processes, and perform statistical and ad hoc reporting.
•Monitor business controls, verify, maintain, and report operational results, scorecard targets, and initiatives.
•Review/create reports, presentations, and databases to support operations and identify opportunities for efficiencies.
•Investigate, analyze and develop solutions to requests with a goal of operational excellence. Develop and generate ad-hoc reports and scorecard reports from existing systems, including but not limited to SAP, Business Warehouse, etc.
•Collect, summarize, and analyze various reports and performance measures.
•Participate in cross-functional teams and/or process improvement initiatives to determine root cause and gap analysis, along with the development and implementation of recommendations.
•Provide feedback on effectiveness of implemented solutions and take action as required.
•Investigate client/customer concerns, issues, and problems to determine root causes.
•Recommend solutions and develop action plans.
•Maintain documentation of standard operating procedures, project status, etc.
•Communicate to affected users to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance.
•Provide user training as necessary.
•Participate in reconciliation activities.
•Play a leadership role in the development, recommendation and implementation of new procedures/process improvements, often via cross-functional teams.
•Prepare status reports for management, developing appropriate communication materials.
•Provide technical expertise and support to process owners.
•Drive efficiency and process improvement, utilizing leadership skills, data analysis and strong understanding of the business strategies.
•Foster the refinement, understanding and enhanced utilization of process measures and benchmarking.
•Understand & maintain Sarbanes Oxley controls.
Job Specific Qualifications
•BS degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science with at least 5 years of relevant work experience. In lieu of a BS degree at least 8 years of relevant work experience.
•Demonstrated strong Excel and PC skills
•Excellent communication skills
•Experience in database management
•Strong organizational skills

•Knowledge of utility tariff and administrative and accounting procedures
