Position Overview:
This role is responsible for planning, directing, and leading various departments, including facilities, maintenance services, and engineering. The Process Engineer provides technical guidance and fosters collaborative leadership, ensuring sound engineering practices and efficient use of facilities, processes, and maintenance operations. At the start of this position, the Process Engineer will be crucial in establishing a new factory and ensuring smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and document new methods, processes, and procedures.
- Monitor key metrics to identify trends and ensure standards are met.
- Plan and coordinate the work of highly skilled staff, emphasizing operational uptime and project management.
- Lead and manage staff in a cross-functional environment to achieve goals efficiently.
- Oversee recruitment, evaluation, and development of department personnel.
- Manage project progress, collaborate with project engineers, and ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Work closely with the CEO and all management levels to establish and achieve both short-term and long-term operational goals.
- Promote and implement lean practices throughout the facility.
- Ensure that metrics and objectives for assigned areas and departments are met.
- Supervise work area processes to ensure operators are properly trained and follow procedures and work instructions.
- Collaborate with the Director of IT and the new warehouse in North Carolina to support the new manufacturing site in a cross-functional environment.
- Travel up to three weeks per month may be required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience with automation and implementing new methods in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering; a master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of five years of experience in progressively responsible technical supervisory roles.
- Expertise in structured problem analysis.
- Proven experience in managing capital projects.
- Familiarity with OSHA, DEP, NFPA guidelines, and plant safety requirements.
- Excellent verbal, written, technical, conceptual, and financial skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to lead teams.
- Proficient in project management with a collaborative approach.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Project, and other Microsoft Office applications, as well as Gantt, PERT, and CPM charts.
- Knowledge of managing manufacturing maintenance operations.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing methods.
- Strong understanding of planning and scheduling.
- Ability to drive projects to completion promptly.
- Knowledge of CAD, CAE, CAM engineering tools, and Great Plains software is required.
