Summer Internship Program
The Vestal Corporation internship experience is focused on inVesting in you! As a part of the Vestal Intern program, you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of projects. You will get exposure to clients, and contractors, as well as other internal partners. Our interns are vital members of our team. And we encourage you to bring what you've learned in the classroom and help drive innovation.
Program Details: Vestal Corporation hosts a 12-week internship program. Beginning on Monday, May 19, 2025, and ending on Friday, August 8, 2025.
JOB SUMMARY: The Process Engineer Intern will assist our multi-disciplined engineering team(s) with assigned tasks and will have many opportunities to grow and develop, both professionally and personally.
JOB DUTIES:
- Work to improve knowledge about how construction & design teams interact, particularly in mechanical design.
- Perform various tasks, including preparing and monitoring documents; work closely with Process Engineer to prepare designs and resolve issues.
- Participate in project strategy meetings within discipline and gain exposure to design concepts, pricing, and proposal techniques/requirements.
- Participate in design research and other activities as directed.
- Engage with other interns across the enterprise as part of the overall Summer Internship Program.
- Comply with Company's Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
- Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization's goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a Vestal Corporation office.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and able to operate a computer and other office equipment.
- Must be able to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex.
- This position frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience or willingness to learn AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
- Ability to travel.
- Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
- Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
