Responsibilities & Qualifications:Novelis is looking for an intern to work with the Product Management team of the Specialties commercial value stream in our Atlanta, GA office. The Novelis Specialties commercial team consists of three distinct market segments: Building & Construction (B&C), Light Gauge (LG) and the Industrial Products Group (IPG). The Product Management Team Intern with work across all three market segments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in determining and monitoring pricing trends for the North American Specialties value stream (Building & Construction, Light Gauge, Industrial Products Group).
- Assist in the development of pricing offers to create negotiation advantages for Sales to maximize margins through value pricing.
- Coordinate development of pricing offers for all RFQs and transactional opportunities working with the respective Senior Business Analysts.
- Monitor contract compliance across the value stream to ensure adherence to Annual Plan and Strategic Plan shipments & EBITDA goals.
- Support Sales Directors in setting and delivering annual pricing and margin performance supporting our EBITDA and Cash Flow objectives
- Profitably manage growth through defining asset-loading plans (regional and inter-regional product translation and supply plans).
- Identify profit improvement opportunities through product simplification.
- Supports Director of Product Management on key product management decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University
- Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels
of the organization - Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
- Proficient in statistical analysis and optimization studies
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer students majoring in Business or Engineering
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Experience with SAP/ ERP systems preferred
- High level communication skills to report and present to all levels of management
