Summary
The Procurement Specialist will play a key role in managing purchasing processes, including creating purchase orders and requisitions, conducting vendor spend analysis, and handling RFPs, invoicing, and other ad hoc procurement requests. The role requires strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and effective problem-solving abilities. There is potential for this position to transition to a full-time role for the right candidate following the contract period.
Responsibilities
- Create and process requisition orders into purchase orders.
- Manage and route order submissions, including processing edits and changes.
- Conduct research, compile data, and analyze reports for Procurement functions.
- Classify and verify invoices for Purchasing.
- Assist with the RFP and RFQ process to ensure competitive bidding for business needs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
- Familiarity with the Workday Procurement module and Lawson is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
