About the Job
Talis Group’s client is looking for a Product Engineer to spearhead the R&D of cutting-edge material handling systems and enhance their existing products. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of material handling technology, collaborating with a passionate team, and contributing to industry-leading solutions. This position offers strong base salary with 10% potential bonus and growth opportunities. Hours are typically 40-45 with NO weekends.
Highlighted Duties:
- Conduct thorough market research and assess feasibility for new material handling systems in a variety of industries
- Oversee the design, release, tooling and supervision of prototype assembly.
- Develop testing protocols and perform or supervise comprehensive validation tests.
- Develop the BOM’s, assembly instructions and maintain detailed records of the development and design process.
- Work closely with the controls team to ensure product is designed according to electrical specifications
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and other teams to enhance current products using the engineering change requests.
- Drive continuous improvement throughout the process for new and existing products
Highlighted Requirements:
- Engineering or related degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of machine design experience, preferably with automated equipment
- Seeking candidate that is self-driven, results-oriented, and reliable with a focus on quality and teamwork.
- Must have strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD,
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley software is a plus.
