Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Product Specialist, Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for cold calling, prospecting, qualifying leads, closing sales, and nurturing post-sale relationships. You will also handle all administrative tasks, including call reports and updates in Salesforce. A deep understanding of our product capabilities, market conditions, and customer service will be essential. You will assist customers via phone, email, and in person with orders, quotes, and product inquiries, while also negotiating profitable pricing.
Key Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in selling filtration equipment, capital equipment (such as air handling and test equipment), or construction projects in industrial markets.
- Technical background preferred, with a basic understanding of air handling, filtration, purification, and HVAC system design.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This position encompasses a range of responsibilities, which may vary based on departmental needs. To excel in this role, you must effectively execute the following duties:
Customer Relationship Management: Develop and strengthen relationships with existing clients to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Sales Growth: Drive revenue growth by achieving and exceeding bookings targets through proactive outbound and inbound sales activities.
Prospecting: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to identify and convert potential leads into bookings.
Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a knowledgeable resource on Industrial Solutions equipment to assist customers effectively.
Technical Support: Address technical inquiries from both new and existing customers.
Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering and Outside Sales teams on new product applications and cross-selling opportunities.
Customer Support: Provide exceptional service through various channels, including web chat and phone.
Project Consultation: Consult with customers on current and future projects to meet their needs.
Implementation Support: Assist with the implementation and start-up of new equipment to ensure a smooth transition.
Sales Tracking: Utilize Salesforce to monitor sales activities and meet or exceed sales targets.
Quote Management: Prepare pricing quotes and follow up on quote status with customers.
Fulfillment Coordination: Collaborate with Customer Service to ensure timely fulfillment of customer requirements.
Product Knowledge: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products and services to provide accurate information to customers.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma required; Technical school or Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in sales within industrial markets, with knowledge of the project lifecycle in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with systems integration and process analytics is advantageous.
- Experience in contract negotiation and understanding legal terminology is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce is desirable.
