POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Production Control Clerk provides customer service assistance for both internal and external customer’s work requirements as related to government facilities. This position requires an understanding of work control standards and practices used while serving as the primary focus for internal and external customers. This position may receive technical guidance from a higher level clerk or supervisor. Work is checked frequently for accuracy and compliance with standards and practices.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. *Provide single-point customer service by interacting with customers, vendors and co-workers to facilitate, identify and schedule work requirements;
2. *Compile and record production of facilities and customer data by executing work based upon written and verbal work requirements;
3. *Coordinate, control and schedule work to include processing work requests, work authorization documents, utility shutdowns and support service;
4. *Reviews and conducts inspection of files and database entries to ensure that all documents are current, accurate and complete;
5. *Coordinate with tenant commands to resolve issues that involve good order and discipline resulting in damages to facilities;
6. *Prepare, review, issue, monitor and update forms for various functions related to work control of facilities and/or facility occupancy;
7. *Where required, conduct inspection functions in various barracks facilities which house Marines and Sailors and coordinate with Facilities Maintenance Division when facilities need repair or maintenance while tracking all submitted work requests through completion;
8. *Provides coordination of data for various government customers and systems;
9. *Where required, act as a liaison between the UPH Division, Resident Support Office, barracks residents and unit leadership;
10. *Where required, assign, terminate, and maintain inspections of work performed by the Facilities Maintenance Division and/or contractors in permanent party and transient quarters;
11. *Monitor and track all maintenance based on work requests entered into the system and submit work requests for necessary repairs;
12. *Where required, perform quarters inspections with new occupants and periodic recurring inspections of common areas and grounds to ensure proper condition;
13. *Frequently travel between facilities;
14. Perform other duties and special production projects as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in work control, customer service or demonstrated ability to use CMMS systems, and knowledge of work control standards and practices;
• Ability to follow directions, structured processes and procedures;
• Ability to communicate effectively to provide information, complete daily records, and to act responsively to inquiries and requests from vendors, customers, management, and to escalate matters appropriately;
• Ability to manage and accurately track data, and adapt to changing work priorities;
• Ability to follow established safety rules applicable to an office environment, to maintain a safe work space, and to adapt and respond to changing conditions and apply the appropriate office ergonomics;
• Ability to build effective working relationships with staff, customers and others;
• Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving and common sense skills;
• Ability to use computers, printers, fax machine, and office phone systems;
• Type correspondence as needed using Microsoft Office Suite;
• Working knowledge of structural and mechanical items, facilities, and furnishings of dwellings in order to provide a sound basis for determining the nature and extent of repairs required and whether damages are attributable to fair wear and tear
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Associates
High School Diploma or GED
CERTIFICATES OR LICENSES REQUIRED:
The following licenses or certificates may be required depending on local, state and/or contract requirements:
Valid Driver's License
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:
• Maneuvering to and around equipment
• Bending, stooping, and reaching
• Utilizing keyboard
• Monitoring computer systems
• May include viewing computer/CCTV monitor(s) and detailed work requiring close vision
• Moving or lifting boxes up to 25 pounds
• Answering/making phone calls
• Communicating with others
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily performed at a customer’s location in an office / shop environment with limited privacy and some exposure to background noise and/or noise from equipment. Transporting to locations with the work site may be required. Employees may also be exposed to extreme cold or heat.
