They are seeking a Production Engineer to join their team!
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$100,000 – $110,000
Position Overview:
The Production Engineer will act as a liaison between engineering professionals and the manufacturing organization, focusing on the conception, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods and processes
The Production Engineer develops and evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; confer with equipment suppliers; solicit operator observations.
Responsibilities of the Production Engineer:
Collaborate with an innovative team of manufacturing and engineering professionals to determine, revise, and review economic methods, operation sequences, and tooling
Enhance manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
Engage in decision-making while analyzing new design layouts for cost reductions and maximum workflow efficiency
Create vital assembly guides, operational manuals, and illustrations for manufacturing processes using CAD and manufacturing software; generate ECNs to improve or correct documentation/products and processes as necessary
Support a team of industry-leading engineers and designers with insights into product operations
Provide critical manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production labor and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements
Collaborate on meaningful cost studies, equipment recommendations, and make/buy decisions
Utilize problem-solving skills to review in-process documentation for errors and inconsistencies, improving efficiency and output
Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to boost productivity and reduce costs
Qualifications for the Production Engineer:
5 to 6 years of experience required, with some experience in the defense industry
Manufacturing Execution System experience or certification is required
Proven problem-solving abilities, with familiarity in root cause analysis and project management
Knowledge of RF & microwave frequency products, subassemblies, modules, PC boards, and wire bonding
Preferred experience in working with chip and wire processes
Strong understanding of advanced manufacturing methods in test, assembly, and fabrication
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and courtesy
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required
Manufacturing Execution System experience or certification is required
