Production Material Handler / Lab Tech (Millsboro) - On-Board Companies

Position Details:  
Position Type: Lab Tech I (recent graduate or previous hands-on laboratory experience)
Job Location: Millsboro, DE
Compensation: $23.50 per hour
Length of Assignment: 6-month with a possibility of extension
Shift: Candidate must be flexible with their schedule – rotating shift

***This is NOT a lab based role, this a production tech role performing material handling duties**

** Individuals must be flexible in both schedule and the willingness to work where needed. The position may be required to work in the following areas:

•    Wrapping and sterilizing in Class D environment. Autoclaving experience preferred but not required 
•    Material Handler - walking outdoors / physically active - gathering supplies for production - must be on their feet 
•    Steam in place - steams large pharmaceutical grade equipment
•    Cleaning large vessels and sterilization

Responsibilities:  
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
•    Assist in washing, prepping, and sterilizing equipment. 
•    Document filter usage. 
•    Cleaning work area includes tables, walls, and floors.
•    Assist in the operation of the Parts Washer. 
•    Assist in the operation of the Beta Star autoclaves. 
•    Assist in the operation of the Waste Decon autoclave. 
•    Concurrent record keeping including logbooks and all pertinent documentation. 
•    Demonstrate at all times, safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment. 
•    Understands and comply with all safety and company policies and procedures. 
•    Assist in training new team members. 
•    Report all unusual, non-routine occurrences when performing tasks . 
•    Assist with performing non-aseptic procedures. 
•    Assist in reviewing SOP's. 
•    Assist in reviewing and signing off on all paperwork. 
•    Attend training classes, workshops, meetings, etc., as required to improve job skills and product-related procedures. 

Qualifications:
•    High School diploma/GED with industry related lab experience or Bachelor’s with industry or academic experience
•    Able to apply knowledge and skills to complete assigned work within own area.
•    Recognizes problems and uses existing procedures to assess solutions.
•    Works on tasks to meet time frames set by others.
•    Ability to read, write and comprehend information and to effectively convey information to colleagues at various levels.
•    Aseptic clean room behaviors experience preferred.
•    Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and conversions.
•    Ability to work standing for long periods of time.
